The Quiet Way
to Grow Your List
through collaboration

And something I’m joining this week

Happy Saturday,

Can I be honest about something that used to feel uncomfortable?

For a long time, I thought growing an email list meant running ads, posting constantly, or doing big launches every few months. None of those things felt natural to me. They felt loud. And I’m not a loud person.

What changed things for me was discovering collaboration as a visibility strategy. Not networking in the exhausting sense. Just finding other creators who serve a similar audience, and sharing something useful with each other’s people.

What I’ve noticed

One well-placed collaboration with the right person can do more for your list and your business than months of solo content creation. And it feels completely different. It feels like community, not hustle.

This is something I talk about in the GROW stage of The Aligned Brand Method. Visibility does not have to mean being everywhere. It means showing up in the right places, with the right people, in ways that suit you.

Freebie swaps, email swaps, podcast guest spots, summits, bundles. These are all forms of collaboration that work beautifully for introverted entrepreneurs. You create something once, someone else shares it with their audience, and their people discover you. Quietly. Genuinely.

If this resonates, here are a few things worth thinking about when it comes to collaboration:

1

Look for audience alignment, not just audience size.

A collaboration partner with 500 subscribers who trusts them completely is often more valuable than a partner with 5,000 who barely opens emails. Connection matters more than numbers.

2

Your freebie is your first impression.

When someone discovers you through a collaboration, your freebie is often the first thing they experience. Make sure it reflects your brand, solves something real, and leads naturally toward what you offer.

3

Start small and build from there.

You do not need a big audience to collaborate. You need a specific person, a genuine offer, and a simple ask. Most creators are more open to collaboration than you think, especially when you make it easy and mutual.

4

Events like this one are a shortcut to finding your people.

Instead of cold-pitching one person at a time, some events bring collaboration-minded entrepreneurs together in one place. That is where you can discover new resources, meet potential partners, and say yes to the right opportunities all at once.

Which is exactly why I am joining something this week. And I wanted to share it with you.

This week I’m recommending

Quick Wins for You

Here is what happens inside:

You discover fabulous free resources from expert entrepreneurs. But the freebies are only the beginning. Throughout the week you will also have the chance to meet potential collaboration partners, arrange freebie and email swaps, make podcast connections, find guest teaching opportunities, discover summits and bundles, and connect with people who serve audiences that align with yours.
